Questions
How much space do I need to have for you to work in?

For a seated massage I require very little floor space - about a 4' by 4' area. Table massage requires a bit more but still not that much. The average area rug size, 6' x 9', will typically be fine.

Just as important as floor space is that you have an environment where you can relax. This may mean that Fluffy needs to be closed in a separate room and the kids have a fresh episode of Barney loaded and ready to go.

Should I get completely undressed for the massage?

The only thing you should do for your massage is feel comfortable and safe. Modesty is one of the largest concerns of most newcomers to massage. With this in mind let's explain what draping is and how it works.

Draping is the covering of the body with either a sheet or a towel. I choose to use draping on all clients. Each client will be appropriately draped for the body part that is being worked on.

Generally this also means that only the body part being worked on is revealed.

Keep in mind also that while having a completely undressed body (including the under garments) allows me to work certain areas more efficiently, it is not required. If you need to wear a turtleneck and sweats to feel comfortable, please feel free!

How long is each appointment?

Unless otherwise noted each actual massage is approximately one hour in length. You should plan on at least 10 to 15 minutes before and after your massage for set-up and clean-up. Need a longer appointment? You can extend your appointment by 30 minute increments at $25 each.

What hours are you available?

Generally you can schedule an appointment between 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily and by special arrangement such as parties, end of semester wellness events, etc.

Same day scheduling is generally NOT possible if scheduled after 10 a.m.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes I do! If you are scheduling for two (one massage after the other) or a group, each additional massage receives a $10 discount off the regular price.

Who performs the services?

Mark Sincock - Owner/Technician
NYS Licensed Massage Therapist - Lic.No 008619

Mark first became involved with therapeutic massage in the early '90s while exploring pain relief techniques for his wife's pregancy discomforts. Those explorations led into a rewarding journey of the human body and the interaction between soft tissues and pain-and-stress patterns.

Since becoming licensed, in 1995 by New York State for Massage Therapy, Mark has taught or assisted with classes at Cornell University, conducted massage workshops, appeared in magazine articles, written regular columns within trade newsletters, and pursued continuing education in Repetitive Stress Injuries.

Mark's signature style of massage uses a hybrid of traditional Swedish Massage named Connective Tissue Therapy which employs a deeply focused, yet non-invasive approach to healing and restoration.
